- Open windows search bare and type run
- Double click on QuickBooksDBXX after browsing in services windows
- Choose automatic as the startup type and set it to either running or started.
- Get to the recovery tab choosing restart the service from the three drop-down menus – 1st failure, 2nd failure, and subsequent failures.
- Click apply and ok and save the changes. Redo all the steps for QBCFMonitorService. On completion, open QB on each workstation. Choose switch to multi-user mode from the file menu. It is fixed.
Method 5 – Adding the server to Windows Hosts File
- For adding your computer server to the windows host file edit the file first.
- Edit it by double-clicking the host's file and choosing notepad when “how do you want to open this file” pops up.
- Enter the server's IP address in the host's file just after the last IP address. Choose to save from the file menu. Then press exit.
- Now try opening the company file in the multi-user mode. It will be fixed.
Method 6 – creating a new folder for QBW File
- Create a new folder on the server computer.
- To share company files, start with sharing the folder, set up the folder, and Windows access.
- Now copy the QuickBooks database to the new folder.
- End it by opening your company file in multi-user mode.
